In this series I explore how memory shapes our recall of places via the five senses. Sometimes vague and hidden in mysterious layers, sometimes vivid, sometimes clear and tactile, always waiting to be revisited. This scene of an island village seen from across the water recalls my childhood in the Caribbean. Plaster effects built up over many layers call to mind an old wall, fading into the scene below.
